This curriculum resulted from what we heard from our players. “We want to play!” This class guarantees a mix of instruction and game play against their peers. Instruction will be split throughout the class and only where needed. Players will be given the freedom to learn and expand on their game and provided the opportunity to have a coach to answer questions and give individual guidance.
Participants will be introduced to basic skills like hand-eye coordination, ball control, and grip. Fun and games will be emphasized throughout the session. Rackets will be provided for daily use or bring your own.
This introduction to basketball offers instruction for each player to allow them to build a solid foundation! This program will cover every aspect of the game for this age level and puts a player in a position to play both competitively and as a lifetime recreational activity. Classes are fun, informative, and teach early basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and basic rules. Each class includes instruction and fun games!
arn the game in a fun, active environment on the diamond. Our staff will conduct weekly skills clinics for 30 minutes and then break out into game play for 30 minutes. Coaches will pitch with the option of a tee if needed. All players will have the opportunity to bat, learn field positions and run the bases.
Joined by their parent, preschoolers will develop basic skills and learn the fundamentals for a variety of sports. Emphasis is on coordination, loco-motor skills, strength, balance and simple game play. Other fun activities may include games, music and station play.
Players will be introduced to tennis equipment, rules and lines through fun and active lessons. Participants will be introduced to basic skills like hand-eye coordination, ball control, and grip. Children will learn how to swing a racket in a safe and controlled environment.
Sports Club is designed for those who want to take their game or skills to the next level. Instructors welcome all players from the Seasonal Sports activity to join the park's sports club, which provides practice time and prepares players for seasonal local tournaments with winners advancing to a citywide championship. This activity meets once a week in preparation of upcoming tournaments.
Learn the basics of baseball in a fun and non-competitive environment. The coaches pitch or a Tee is used at this level. Emphasis is placed on how to field, hit, run the bases and the basic rules of the game. Each class will incorporate gameplay without keeping score. A T-Ball “softie” will be used. We Got Game staff will lead instruction.
